Announced during the Nintendo Direct presentation on 18th June 2024, Super Mario Party Jamboree is the third installment of the Mario Party franchise specifically made for Nintendo Switch. With the tried-and-tested Mario Party boards back on the block but with gameplay favoring that of Superstars, I was interested to see if what was new was, in fact, new enough.

First of all, the boards. It was a pleasant surprise to see how vast the boards were compared to their Super Mario Party counterparts. While this gives a lot of replay value, a ten-turn round averaging out at around ninety minutes, I can see younger players or those more used to quick playthroughs getting bored or frustrated by the time it takes to get around the board even once. However, the tiny boards of Super Mario Party are a thing of the past. With new dice, board-specific items, and different ways to keep opponents from getting the sacred Stars before you do, there is a lot to discover if you have the time to dedicate to it. Players can even go all the way up to thirty turns if they want a longer game experience, and the ability to save offline games is always helpful.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Is Full of Welcome Changes (Hands-On Preview) https://twinfinite.net/features/dead-rising-deluxe-remaster-hands-on-preview/ https://twinfinite.net/features/dead-rising-deluxe-remaster-hands-on-preview/#respond Tue, 13 Aug 2024 15:00:00 +0000 https://twinfinite.net/?p=1103902 He's covered wars you know.]]>

Originally released in 2006, Dead Rising quickly solidified itself as a zombie fan favorite, spawning multiple sequels and a following ready to rival The Walking Dead. Now, 18 years later, Capcom has rewarded us all with a remastered update of the game that started it all.

It is safe to say that the biggest update in the game is the graphics. With 18 years comes incredible advancements in animation, and Capcom did not skip out on making sure we could see every reaction and emotion on not only Frank’s face, but on every NPC’s too. While the original game still holds up well, the graphics overhaul was well worth the time and makes the gore that bit more visceral, which you definitely want in a modern zombie game. Especially when taking them down with a skateboard or golf putter is still very much an option.

Top 10 Ghouls in the Fallout Games https://twinfinite.net/features/top-10-ghouls-in-fallout-games/ https://twinfinite.net/features/top-10-ghouls-in-fallout-games/#respond Thu, 13 Jun 2024 15:03:07 +0000 https://twinfinite.net/?p=1085910 What's the matter smoothskin? Never seen a ghoul before?]]>

What would the wasteland be without Ghouls? They are a staple of the Fallout franchise with ever-growing stories and appearances, and next year, you finally get the opportunity to play as one in Fallout 76. While planning your ghoulish counterpart, it’s the perfect time to look back at the best Fallout has had to offer in the way of plots and characterization for our almost faceless friends. Here are our Top 10 Fallout Ghouls.

#10. Gob (Fallout 3)

It seems fitting that one of Fallout’s saddest ghouls lands at number ten. Poor Gob is enslaved and treated like dirt by the town of Megaton and its inhabitants, for something he has no control over. Feeling sorry for ghouls isn’t uncommon, but being greeted by one who radiates (no pun intended) fear without any snark or bravado, that’s quite a different thing.
