Those of us who are familiar with the late 90s and early 00s will recognize the homage to RnB girl band fashions (think N-Tyce, Eternal, and All Saints).

Sims 4’s realism factor has been improved with every update and new pack. Yet, since there’s a lot of ground to cover, a few aspects have been missed, leaving fans wanting more.

One, in particular, has to be the vitiligo CAS skin that has only been available through Sims 4 mods. Fortunately, this feature will likely arrive with the next Sims Delivery Express after an announcement on the game’s Twitter/X. Although it is brief, we do see an appearance of the skin as a character walks on, vaguely confirming that it will debut on Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. PT/ 1 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. BST.

The many EPs of the Sims universe continue to keep the franchise alive, incorporating more content with each passing year. But with so many add-ons out there, it can be challenging to keep up with them all, especially when deciding on a new EP. 15. Snowy Escape

Although Snowy Escape is at the bottom of the list, it is by no means a bad Sims 4 expansion pack. One of its best qualities is the many decorative objects you can utilize in almost any world, showcasing a Japanese-inspired furniture collection. The pack is also just plain fun to explore, where you can take a trip down the snowy mountains and relax in the cozy rock garden.

One of the many features that made the Sims franchise stand out from other games is the inclusion of various cultures, in which players can truly feel represented. Whether it be through the creation of a character or household, it gives them a chance to say, “Hey, look, it’s me” or “This is what my childhood home used to look like.”

Throughout the years, the Sims series has evolved even more with cultural representation, especially with the latest For Rent expansion pack that centers around a Southeast Asian lifestyle. I had the privilege of chatting with the EP’s Cultural Consultant, Jason Chu, who discussed the importance of authenticity during the development process.

The Sims 4: For Rent on PC

Multi-family units have been the talk of the Sims town since the release of City Living. But up until that point, The Sims 4 wasn’t quite capable of extensive household sizes, leaving many players to rely on mods or settle for the maximum limit. Fortunately, the time has finally come for those who enjoy multi-family homes in the Southeast Asian-inspired world of Tomarang.

If you’ve been browsing around the forums for The Sims 4 For Rent, you may have noticed that many players have suggested it to be a game pack rather than a full-on expansion pack. And while I agree with this take on some factors, I believe the content included gives it enough justice to stand as an EP. It’s much more than just adding multiple units in the lot, as it comes with multiple extra features.

When the City Living EP initially dropped, many Simmers weren’t too keen on the segregated apartment lifestyle that it introduced. However, this impression has since changed with the upcoming Sims 4 For Rent pack that finally ushers in a multi-family household.

I got the chance to attend a For Rent early digital event to get a sneak peek at these new features, showcasing a more complex side to the classic Build Mode. The life of a Property Owner was one of the first big changes I was surprised to see, given that landlord roles are relatively designated for NPCs.

If you’re searching for a new Sims 4 challenge, then you won’t need to look any further with the latest For Rent EP, as it completely revamps the game’s living quarters.

Instead of the classic one-family-per-unit mechanics, Simmers can explore the wonders of multi-family households that can either be shared or separated from each other. Like in real life, you’ll need to follow the rules in order to remain a good-standing tenant, including no loud noises and taking out the trash when needed.

When the City Living expansion pack first introduced the wonders of apartment living, Simmers couldn’t help but want more with its unique housing style. And now, things are finally looking up with the latest debut of the Sims 4 For Rent trailer, showcasing a new journey as a property owner or tenant.

With this pack, players can customize the home of their dreams in the city of Tomarang, from duplexes to apartments to townhomes. Thanks to its multi-family complexes, the impactful storytelling that the series is known for continues to thrive, especially with all the various cultures mixed together.

If you ever wanted to ride out into the sunset with a majestic steed, you can finally do that (at least virtually) in the Horse Ranch expansion pack. This beloved animal was one of the most sought-after companions in the Sims universe, bringing in fanmade creations with mods over the years. But now, players can acquire their very own stallion without using these enhancements, where they can teach, nurture, and raise horses.

While some aspects of the pack stand out from the rest, others lack a certain kind of substance that ultimately makes it feel like it’s missing something. So, without further ado, we’ll go over the things Sims 4 Horse Ranch does well and ways it could’ve done better.

The Sims 4 Horse Ranch on PC

Like many Simmers, I’ve been around the block with the franchise’s many expansion packs, offering new ways to experience the game. While some DLCs provide a unique world filled with a ton of activities, others feel more like an add-on for items and not an extension of gameplay. The Horse Ranch pack falls in between this spectrum, where it has a ton of opportunities for animal lovers but fewer options for its overall playability.

If you are a horse enthusiast, the latest expansion pack is perfect for you, given its customization features and numerous wholesome moments. The bond you share with your stallion is where the add-on shines as you develop multiple companionships throughout your Sim’s life. The Mini Goats and Mini Sheep are also excellent family members that will cause you to say, “Aww! How cute!” frequently.

The Sims 4’s vast horse collection allows many players to craft the steed of their dreams, with over 30 breeds and numerous coat colors. However, fans were quick to notice one type missing from the selection, and that is the mystical unicorns.

Yet, despite the creature’s absence, Simmers analyzed the matter further by looking over the Horse Ranch expansion’s coding, where they discovered a line designated for these unique stallions. It seems as though this horse was previously a part of the family, but it was ultimately removed from the official version.

The Sims community has come up with countless challenges throughout the years as a way to implement a more advanced objective-based system into the game. Many fans have struggled with the strenuous task of the 100 Baby challenge (even I had difficulties with the Infants update) and other unique concepts, but now it’s been taken up a notch with a new Horse Ranch fan-made objective.

Reddit user INS_Fang developed an idea with the latest expansion pack, where you’ll need to place animals from previous exclusives, like Cottage Living and Cats and Dogs, while maintaining them as best as you can. On top of that, you can throw the needy infants into the mix that’ll make you want to close out the game, just like the player almost did.

The adventures of the Van der Linde gang have continued on in The Sims 4: Horse Ranch, bringing in iconic characters, beloved animals, and classic sets.

With the latest cowboy attire, Simmers have created the series’ notable main protagonists, John Marston and Arthur Morgan. But, of course, these two are nothing without the rest of the cast, and you can reunite the entire gang by combining other Create a Sim models, from Charles Smith to Dutch van der Linde himself (just ignore Micah Bell.)
