Salvation’s Edge went live on Friday 7 June, 2024 at 1 pm ET. Players quickly launched into the race to see if they would be the first to the finish. Unfortunately for many teams, it became undeniable this was no simple battle and the foes were of a superior power level! When 12 hours had passed and no winner was declared, project leader Catarina Macedo announced: “The Witness is the biggest threat the universe has ever seen. We warned you.”

New Destiny 2 expansions and widespread server outages go hand-in-hand. With The Final Shape finally out now and gradually rolling out after 24 hours of downtime, a few lucky players are getting to experience the new content first-hand. Right at the beginning of the trailer, we see the return of Mara Sov & The Crow, who has been absent since the Season of Defiance earlier this year, alongside Petra Venj. Given that the location of the Season seems to mainly take place in the Dreaming City, it’s only fitting we see these three iconic characters from the Forsaken DLC come together once more to deal with Riven and her eggs.

But that’s not all because Dragon’s Breath’s munitions would leave behind a solar flare that acts much like Destiny 2’s Solar Grenade.

Destiny 2 players haven’t seen a new enemy faction since the Forsaken expansion over five years ago. There is a reason why players hold Forsaken as a prime example of what an expansion should be, and that reason is why Destiny 2 needs a new enemy faction more than ever.

Every year since Forsaken, players have been clamoring for a new race of foes to challenge themselves against. Unfortunately, for the past five years, we have had nothing but reskinned versions of what we’ve been battling against since the start of Destiny 1. At this point, I’m sure some of the community would even enjoy another kind of Taken faction that takes the enemies we know and fundamentally changes them to feel very different. Sadly, none of that has been or looks to be a thing.

It seems the Crucible Strike Team have been hard at work and continue to do so even amidst troubles at Bungie. Thankfully, Season 23’s massive list of crucible tweaks and changes are a step in the right direction for the PvP community.

Bungie’s Crucible Strike Team has continued to work diligently to satisfy the needs of their community. Part of all that they’ve been working on is coming in Destiny 2’s season 23, Season of the Wish. That said, Bungie is still iterating on the changes they made in Season 22 and so we should expect back-and-forth adjustments. It’s good to see that after Bungie’s layoffs that the Crucible Strike Team seems to still be in a healthy enough position to still deliver on their vision of a better, healthier Crucible.

10. Sealed Ahamkara Grasps

Perk-wise, these gauntlets give you the ability to reload your weapon whenever you deal melee damage. You might think that as a Strand Hunter, these would work well with the Hunter’s homing Threaded Spike melee.
